Our team is seeking a highly motivated senior RF amplifier designers to add to our already accomplished team.We are looking for self starters who know how to design & develop the latest in RF amplifier technology employing MMIC, GaAs, GaN, & LDMOS designs.
Responsibilities:• RF power amplifier design, power amplifier characterization within RF transmit chains and support for digital pre-distortion systems.
• Design and development of high power amplifiers (10 W to 300 W) in the 400MHz to 3500 MHz frequency range (Class AB, Doherty, Three-way Doherty, etc).
• Modeling of the linear and non-linear circuit elements used within our high-power RF power amplifiers, and their characterization.
• Simulation, analysis, and layout of power amplifiers. (Utilization of advanced CAD/Simulation tools).
• Direct and mentor junior engineers and cross-functional colleagues.
• Work with a wider design community to understand requirements and provide solutions for successful and timely product delivery.
Requirements:
• Established experience in RF power amplifier design and verification, RF module and board design, RF transceiver architectures including baseband pre-distortion.
• Experience with Agilent's Advanced Design System (ADS) , Ansoft's High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and planar electromagnetic solvers (Sonnet's Em and/or Agilent's Momentum)
• Experience with microwave measurement techniques (Pulsed S-parameter and DC measurement, S-parameters, VNA calibration techniques, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc).
• Experience with thermal analysis, mechanical packing, and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility).
• Understanding of mobile communication standards (e.g. UMTS, GSM, LTE) is an asset.
• BSEE/MSEE or equivalent
• 5 + years RF & RF amplifier design experience
