Vacancy: Project Manager (FTTH, GPON) || Middle East

Client require an ISP Project Manager who has experience of and understands the implementation process (process management) for FTTx (FTTH, GPON, etc.). This role will suit somebody who has an excellent background in ISP (Inside Plant) and has worked with FTTx solutions. You will be a clear communicator and able to manage sub-contractors and co-ordinate with other regional Project Managers. Summary requirements and compensation 
Exceptional experience in telecoms fibre network construction industry (FTTx – FTTH, GPON, etc.) 
Educated to degree level or above (ideally) 
Fluent spoken and written English (Arabic a bonus) 
Good working knowledge of MS Software. 
Remuneration: $4,000 USD – $5,000 USD per month (this figure includes your base salary, accomodation allowance and personal transport allowance.) Medical and life insurances and flight on top.
 
Skills and knowledge required 
Sound knowledge & proven experience in Optical Fibre Cable laying, splicing and testing. 
Sound knowledge of ISP (Inside Plant); structured cabling, internal cabling, etc. 
Experience of civils works associated with Optical Fibre Cable Network construction. 
Experience of and understands the implementation process for FTTx (FTTH, GPON, etc.). 
Good internal, cross-functional and middle level customer communication & presentation skills 
Strong Subcontractor Management 
Leadership skills & man management 
Process management 
Good planning and analytical skills 
Ability to work under pressure
 
Key Areas of Responsibilities 
Monitoring and following up pre-requisites of OFC Network construction with various functional teams within the project organization. 
Assist OFC Network Design team to get approvals of various designs from customer. 
Follow Project Implementaion Plan for rollout of OFC Network construction and migration of BB connections from copper to fiber. 
Liase and pass regular updates to Regional Project Managers to ensure compliance with agreed targets and committments. 
Pro-actively manage subcontractors to achieve given targets. 
Guide subcontractors teams to follow defined SOPs and correct them where they make mistakes. 
Manage tracking register for all additional repair/construction work issued by customer. 
Identify risks to the rollout timelines and report to the project management with possible pratical solutions. 
Coordination with Call Center staff and migration coordinator to achieve the target numbers. 
Involve in customer / public complaints during the actual rollout of the project in field. 
Check the authenticity of subcontractors work and report to project management if subcontractors become unmanagable at some stage. 
Monitor the implementation team in their following of safety guidelines, aiming for zero accidents.
