As part of the Early start process NRO Project Management support is required to provide NRO PMs for each of the three initial 2011 markets (DFW, Houston, Atlanta). The NRO PM will be a part of the team that begins developing the necessary market project plans, resource plans, tools and processes to RIP and Replace the legacy access equipment and deploy the new RAN solution (WIMAX, LTE, CDMA) supporting the Sprint Leapfrog Project. The NRO PM will be in market and will manage the LDO team members necessary to complete all the A&E, civil and construction work necessary to get the site ready for the deployment of the hardware. This activity could extend into further deployment of the remaining 29 markets in 2012-14.
Tasks of this project include: working with internal teams and customer to plan, schedule, staff, and update progress and update stakeholders with written reporting and status calls. The Scope of this project is establish a team of ASP (Site Acq, A&E, Construction), to develop market specific project plans, dependencies and essential process / documentation, MOP staffing requirements / plans that can be transitioned into actual market deployments. Develop implementation plan based on proposed deployment lists. Identify dependencies and sequencing of all necessary planning and deployment activities. Develop timeline and critical path for all activities. Planning methodology and necessary resource plan. Identify issues/concerns and assumptions for deployment plan. Refine as required as inputs are received from proposal efforts. Skills:
Must have 5+ years of Wireless Project Management experience.
Must be able to travel 50%+
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
