Vacancy: Chief Technical Officer position for north Africa

"Axir Consulting is looking to hire a CTO to cover position in North Africa location. 
Job Description: 
Interim Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Main Task: Responsible for leading the technical departments, the development & implementation of appropriate technology, networks and services of an international gateway operator in North Africa Specific Duties and Responsibilities: •Plan, develop, and execute strategies to ensure the fast, timely and cost-effective establishment of the technical systems and platforms in line with the business strategy. •Definition and implementation of required intra and interdepartmental processes in line with the business processes •Implementation of organisational structure as defined by CEO •Planning and implementation of new technology according to strategy and capacity demand for voice and data/IP, deploy capacity forecasting and provisioning mechanisms •Responsibility for the technical side of operation and system / service upgrades & expansion: Issuing and evaluating related technical parts of RFPs, technical procurement, vendor negotiation and contracting, technical roll-out and launch with focus on time, budget and quality •Guide technical planning and implementation of necessary BSS and OSS Systems, head project for implementation of NOC (design, implementation, processes, reporting) •Provide leadership regarding PMO processes, Network Factory, IT Factory, Factory Operations & Performance, Field Service / Operations / Delivery, including the respective planning and operational responsibilities •Establish a reporting system to ensure optimal co-operation and control •Implement effective measures to control network performance (performance management) •Prepare budgets and manage finances of the technical departments (as part of overall budget planning) •Contribute to a corporate culture which supports the achievement of ambitious goals and fosters effective co-operation •Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the CEO or Board of the company •Reports to the CEO 
Required Qualification •Excellent University degree in engineering, information technology, communication technology, electrical engineering or a related area •Proven track record in the telecommunications industry (telco operators, carriers, manufacturers, etc.) •Previous work assignments as key technical manager or CTO in the telecommunications industry •Strongly pronounced management skills in conjunction with analytical and conceptual abilities. •Hands-on experience related to planning, implementation, and operation of voice and data/IP as well as NGN networks, including configuration of key IP network components and detailed knowledge of common principles IP (e.g. back-hauling) •Excellent communication and leadership skills, customer orientation •Affinity to work on interdisciplinary tasks in multicultural teams •Working experience in Africa and/or Arabian countries beneficial •Excellent oral and written English skills If you are interested,
