Telecom Job for MSN Provisioning Engineer – Plano, TX (USA)

Scope of Work: 
• Understanding UMTS layer 2 switching concepts and layer 3 IP routing protocols. 
• Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting UMTS transport network and performance issues. 
• Working knowledge on UMTS Packet Core and Switches Network architecture. 
• Working knowledge on ATM, IP and Transport connectivity such as T1, DS3, OC3, OC12 and OC48. 
• Able to interpreted Ericsson TND, Nortel CIQ, Engineering Design Package (EDP) from ATT for MSN (Tellabs and ALU boxes) and DACS (Tellabs) 
• Demonstrate expert level knowledge of commissioning and integration IuB, IuCS, IuPS and IuR UMTS transport network between various wireless and wireline nodes 
• Working knowledge on transport design and integration of the Alcatel 7670 RSP-ESE / Tellabs 8600/8860 and DACS products. Proficient in creating scripts based on ALU/Tellabs/Cisco MSN products for various rehome/rebalance/reconfiguration and template change activities for wireless networks. 
• Prior experience with ATT wireless and T-Mobile wireless networks is a plus • Ability to lead teams to perform network optimization and network performance audits. You will perform these activities for Ericsson’s 2G/3G products and solutions, primarily in multi-vendor networks. This includes WCDMA/GSM/TDMA, Microwave/ Minilink, Radio Access Network, IP Backbone, Service Layers and IP convergence. 
• Excellent knowledge of RAN Topology, Access Transport (ATM) Aggregation Strategy, Physical Port layout and connections between various wireless and wireline nodes. 
• Ability to solve complex problems that require substantial analysis and investigation related to network and system performance. 
• Actively contribute to improvements and drive change. 
• Work with cross-functional teams to define, propose, and deliver Ericsson solutions. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Knowledge of Perl, VB, C++ 
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office ( Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Access) 
• The position requires a strong desire to excel with network design/performance improvement, through detailed technical investigation and analysis 
• Customer focused and results oriented • Be able to work during night time maintenance window on regular basis from Sunday – Thursday nights.
