- This is a Senior Management position responsible for Global Program Management within the Service Delivery Management Department.
- The candidate must have at least 12 years experience in the Telecoms industry with a proven track record in planning and delivering complex, large scale programs.
- Extensive experience in Network Rollout (gained in Operator / Vendor environment) plus a thorough understanding of Managed Services and other Support Services (Network Planning, Optimization, Customer Support).
- A strategic thinker, who can identify methodologies to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs through Program Management across a wide range of service solutions,
- Must have an excellent understanding of the Pre Sales process.
- The candidate will need to have a sound business understanding and have demonstrated ability to link business goals to Project KPI’s.
Scope
- Day to day management of HQ PMO (Program Management Office) overseeing 18 Regional Program Management Offices and Representative Office Project Management Offices.
- Define and implement targets, strategy and plans to improve delivery efficiency in line with company goals and priorities’
- Define standard operation procedures for Pre Sales phase in order to improve contract quality and delivery readiness.
- Enabling, supporting and optimizing service delivery across multiple Business Units.
- Identify ways to reduce service delivery costs by introducing methodologies that drive efficiencies into the process.
- Understand corporate goals and like these to Program and Project KPI’s.
- Provide SWAT support to key markets to support bids by providing key inputs to the Bid Management Team with regard to timescales, the local environment, resource availability and readiness.
- Monitor selected Company Top Level projects through War Room to ensure KPI’s will be met, identify problems, shortfalls and escalate internally as necessary.
- Support the provision of principle customer interface (Fulfilment Managers) within the Key Account Team.
- Provide unified reporting in line with Senior Management requirement.
- Be able to demonstrate efficiencies in resource utilisation, cost savings and improved customer satisfaction through strong program management methodology.
- Liaison across all Delivery Business Units (NRO, Managed Services, Network Integration, Technical Services, Customer Support) and all support departments (Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance at program level.
- Development of Project Management competence through career planning, competence and qualification standards, training, coaching and knowledge sharing.
Profile
- At least 12 years experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in communications, technology or related subject.
- Proven Strategy and Planning skills.
- Proven delivery track record on major programs / projects.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, able to communicate at all levels.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- A high level of cultural awareness and experience managing multi-cultural teams.
- An excellent understanding of end to end process delivery from pre-bid, through contract closure and Managed Services.
- An in depth understanding of outsourcing / partnering strategies and proven Subcontractor management experience.
- A high level of commercial awareness.
- Resource planning experience
