Telecom Job for 3G RF engineers || South Africa & Nigeria

Urgently looking for 3G RF Optimization Engineer for a 2 month contract with Ericsson South Africa, as well as also looking for a 3G RND Engineer to work in Nigeria for a 3 month contract.


Job specs below;
Ericsson - Senior 3G RND Engineer to work in Nigeria 
Contract Length = 3 Months
Primary Area of Expertise = WCDMA Planning & Design
Secondary Area of Expertise = 3G Optimization Competence 1). Very good Radio planning knowledge.
2). Extensive knowledge on Mapinfo; e.g.. creating clusters and drive routes,
3). Real understanding of second carrier planning for expansion.
4). Compilation of Low Level Design report and able to answer customer questions on related issues.
5). A Bonus:Some Winfiol or moshell experience to extract network data relating to RF Planning, e.g. IRAT parameters and Channel Element Utilisation to cater for Expansion.
6). Link budget analysis.
7). Good understanding of 3G and HSDPA/EUL
8). Good knowledge on Rooftop design and antenna separation analysis. This also means good understanding of antenna propagation theory.
9). Proficient use of Microsoft excel.
10). A Bonus: Re-homing experience (due to an expansion), thus creating and deleting external UTRAN cells for the various RNCs involved.
11. Good tool experience with TCPU
12- At least 8 years experience in design and planning activities
13- Experience with Ericsson equipment
14- Radio Network Planning:
a. Nominal cell plan
b. Site survey and candidate selection
c. Special even design solution
15- Scrambling code preparation
16- Statistics analysis and initial tuning recommendations


Ericsson - Senior 3G RNO & Tuning Engineer
Location: South Africa
Duration: 2 Months
Start: ASAP
Primary Area of Expertise = (WCDMA) 3G Radio Network Tuning and Optimisation
Secondary Area of Expertise = Good overall knowledge of GSM and WCDMA architecture, and Network performance and Network Optimisation


Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Tuning & Network Performance Improvement Projects in 3G Radio Network Optimization Roles
- Strong Knowledge of Ericsson P6/p7 packages (Counters and Parameters)
- Experience in using (MCOM, MapInfo, NeXplorer, TEMS Investigation, TEMS Route Analysis, WNCS, WMRR) -Extensive 3G RNO & Tuning Experience on Ericsson Platform is a most 


Responsibilities include:
-Monitor & analyze the WCDMA/HSPA Radio Network Statistics on daily basis.
-Achieve & maintain the Radio Network Performance as per the contracted KPIs (Accessibility, Retainability, and Mobility & Service Integrity).
- Candidate will be responsible for reducing congestion and drops, improving the IRAT Handover, Soft Handover, Location Update, Paging, CSSR, RRC Connection & RAB  Establishment Success rate in the 3G RAN network for all Voice, Video Packet & High Speed.
- Issuing capacity upgrade requests whenever needed • Responsible for the drive test analysis and taking the necessary action to improve the performance of his geographical area.
-Candidate should have a strong knowledge with (UETR, UEH, and GPEH) traces, parsing and analysis and comfortable to work with it on daily basis.
-Evaluate and adapt new methods and technologies regarding Radio Network Optimization, Features, and Trials & Tuning.
Good knowledge with the use of MS office,Mapinfo, TCPU (Tems cell planner universal), Drive test analysis and TEMS investigation drive test analaysis Must have good knowledge with SecureCRT, MOSHELL, Comand Prompts,OSS, Nexplorer.
