Job Description: Primarily responsible for providing P25 radio demonstration support for Sales, plus provide second or third tier equivalent technical support to field engineers/technicians, customers and users of Communication Systems when available. Reviews demonstration test plans and tailors P25 radio demonstrations to promote sales of Harris radios on multiple manufacturers’ P25 infrastructure. May also be asked to respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. In this role, diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs and debugs complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and/or software over the phone, email or on site. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems to Fielded Products Engineering, recommends solutions to resolve reported problems. Will act as liaison with other business functions for escalation and communication of serious technical and business issues affecting product quality or customer satisfaction, especially with radio terminal products. Responsible for tracking / reporting major technical and business issues that have been identified.


Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering discipline and 10+ years experience; or MSEE/MSCE and 8+ years professional experience
Ability to travel - Approximately 60+% domestic travel anticipated
Experience in MS Windows Server 2003, UNIX, LAN/WAN design, two-way radio systems, microwave systems, or wireless data systems 
Experience in P25 Land Mobile Radio, with emphasis on radio terminal product operation, Knowledge of database reporting tools.


Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent communications and teaching/coaching skills.
Contributes to the development of new concepts and techniques to help build Harris market share through added radio sales.
Ability to serve as consultant and special internal / external spokesperson for the organization on major technical and customer support matters
Familiarity with Public Safety organization operations
Microsoft/Cisco Certifications 
Potential for obtaining Secret Clearance
