Location of position : New Delhi, India
Support the Head – Broadband Planning & Engineering Group & Provide inputs to facilitate the LTE/iWAN/WiFi engineering process for Wireless Access Organisation – based on analysis of inputs and forecast information from respective business teams.
• Facilitate reprioritisation of activities, strategies and initiatives by engaging with business teams and Managed Services Partners Demand Forecasts and Projections for BWA services based on LTE/iWAN/WiFi
• Analysis of demand for services and prevalent pricing from other service providers in the market
• Facilitate the Preparation of LTE/iWAN/WiFi related products RFI/RFQ/RFP in line with business requirements for access technologies
• PoC initiation and completion, incorporations of learning in the RFP/RFQ
• Provide directions for Energy consumption reduction through engineering of active and passive solutions available commercially
• Provide directions for optimal network architecture to minimize network capex & opex
§ Scan external environnent & keep abreast with the wireless broadband technologies & market trends to Identify strategies to enhance service support to customers through the Wireless Access Technologies.
§ Managing & Engaging the Engineering Team of Strategic Partners & Evaluate LTE/WiFi/iWAN vendors product to support decision making on service Contracts with key vendors
§ Head the engineering of LTE/iWAN/WiFi Network Deployment Strategy in Line with Business Requirement.
• Sharing of resources and infrastructure within the businesses
• Supporting growth and improved service through new network & technology deployment.
• Participate with businesses & facilitate Radio Solution Design as per business requirements.
• Analyse inputs and forecasts from marketing, sales and networks teams of respective businesses.
• Engage with Business Heads, Network Heads of Businesses to identify areas for facilitating support through the Wireless Technologies.
§ Periodically review the deployment of strategies, analyse inputs from team and recommend changes to the LTE/iWAN/WiFi radio planning.
§ Put forth and execute on a comprehensive last mile wireless strategy based on evolving and changing product specifications.
§ Head the Engineering of LTE/WiFi/iWAN network basis on the Budget – Capex & Opex vis-à-vis the business plans, flags off to the Head on critical triggers / deviations.
§ Managing & Engaging the Engineering Team of Strategic Partners and
§ Evaluate technologies, vendors to support decision making on service Contracts with key vendors
§ Evaluation & Sourcing of alternate vendors for infrastructure items to optimise Capex & Opex and meet business objectives
§ Keep updated with the latest in the field of Wireless Technologies and their role in supporting the telecom industry. Active participation in imparting training/sharing of good practices and latest technology updates
§ Coach and develop circle resources for complete Radio quality and planning understanding every year.
§ Share information/knowledge of the role of wireless technologies in supporting future growth. - Make the business units aware of new products and technologies
Education & Experience: Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications with 15 + yrs of experience
