Responsibilities:
• Responsible for a timely resolution of network incidents, minimizing the impact of any network outages and downtime
• Providing support for IP/MPBN 24/7
• Address faults/queries, monitoring, fault isolation, fix, diagnostics and working on complex configuration and network element issues regarding IP/MPBN
• Work with design/delivery team on projects with solution architects/design teams to implement the network element of new solutions on the IP/MPBN network
• Acceptance on IP/MPBN Nodes
• Providing proactive day to day management and support for the network element of IP/MPBN related infrastructure, including servers, routers, firewalls within a mission critical environment
• Take ownership of troubleshooting faults on & off the IP/MPBN network. Support of IP/MPBN nodes – Routers, Firewalls, MPBN devices, Switches etc
• Supervise implementation of operations, maintenance and of the entire IP/MPBNNetwork
• Take lead in the creation and integration of new services on the IP/PMBN Network via creation
• Assist in overseeing upgrades on the nodes on the MPBN and GPRS networks
• Participate in project implementation and testing involving the IP/MPBN network
• Ensure execution of work orders provided by planning team
• Assist in configurations GPRS interfaces – Gb, Gr, Gd, Gp and Gn
• Ensure backup operations for the nodes are done
• Investigate faults and system events and restore functionality within stipulated timeframe
• Makes all backups on the network according procedures to save information in case of a network failure
• Configures and tests new network connections to implement new services and ensures the agreed service level
