Telecom Vacancy: Access Transmission Design Engineer (Ethernet) :: Europe

Location: Europe 
Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: 3-6 months (extendable)



Requirements:
• At least 4 years relevant experience in telecoms / transmission design roles 
• Excellent knowledge and experience in design/planning/deployment of IP/Ethernet transport solutions as used in mobile operator networks 
• Excellent knowledge of transmission technologies used in 2G/3G mobile operator networks (Microwave Radio, SDH, ATM, Optical) 
• Excellent knowledge of Microwave radio networks, with design/planning experience of modern Ethernet capable Microwave, such as Ericsson Minilink TN, Ceragon IP10/640, NSN, SIAE 
• Excellent knowledge of BT MEAS and/or other leased providers’ ethernet leased line services 
• Experience in design, delivery or rollout of Ethernet transmission within mobile operator networks 
• Excellent knowledge of Ethernet switching, MPLS networks, defining and configuring QoS 
• Experience working with Tellabs 8605 / 8660 
• Experience working with Huawei CX600 / PTN / ATN products 
• Knowledge of network synchronization in access/backbone networks, and experience /knowledge of Sync design in ethernet transport networks using SyncE / 1588. Experience with Symmetricom (DCD 521/SSU2000) 
• Knowledge of NSN RAN transmission and Iub configuration and practical experience in the design and configuration of Nokia Iub 
• Implementation of Nokia TOP synchronisation 
• Knowledge of Ericsson RAN solutions 
• Knowledge / design experience of LTE 
• Experience in customer facing technical roles 
• Experience of project management and governance in customer facing roles 
• Excellent communication and customer facing skills 
• Highly developed organisational skills 
• Good team working skills 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
• Flexible and adaptable and able to prioritise work in dynamic environment 
• Degree or equivalent higher education qualification
