Responsibilities:
• How to use and work according to the instructions and procedures described in the system documentation
• Preventive and Corrective maintenance
• Performance management (STS) handling)
• Configuration Management
• Implement Updates
• Carry out Maintenance routines in the switching network
• Transfer technical knowledge to MIC Tanzania’s staff
• Establish good practice for the handling of MIC equipment, through the recommendation of methods and procedures
• Follow "Actions on Alarms", Operational Instructions, and as appropriate to quickly repair faults in the system
• Investigate and repair faults in hardware or data or configuration, upon making the required contact with central network control, the Operation and Maintenance Centre (OMC) or Technical Assistance Centre (TAC)
• Carry out up-dates on software and hardware and data upon receipt of the appropriate work order
• Train MIC Tanzania’s staff by supervision and on-the-job assistance on technical handling of the system
• Establish normal methods and procedures for handling telecom equipment, e.g. BTS dispatch, Trouble Report writing etc
• Create and report statistics of traffic, disturbances, quality measurements, etc
