Telecom Vacancy for Access/Transport Network Engineer :: USA

Location: Plano

Term: 12month project+

The Ash Group is currently seeking an Access/Transport Network Engineer- Telecommunications for a 12 month assignment with our Plano client.
Perform and lead teams in the performance of network planning, Access Transport Network Design, network performance audits and scripts for RAN Transport change implementation in UMTS and LTE Networks i.e., RNC, NodeB/eNodeB, OSS nodes and OAM and access network routers.
Write and demonstrate Methods of Procedure (MOP) to customer
Troubleshoot scripts/transport network designs especially during implementation or network disturbance/fault situation
Solve complex problems that require substantial analysis and investigation related to network and system performance.
Actively contribute to improvements and drive change.
Identify, propose and implement new service opportunities that will contribute to business growth.
Work with cross-functional teams to define, propose, and deliver solutions.
Knowledge of 2G and 3G network architecture elements (especially UTRAN) and protocols (TCP/IP, ATM, SS7, etc)
Excellent knowledge of UTRAN, IP, Access Transport (ATM) Aggregation Strategy, Physical Port layout and connections between various WRAN nodes.
Knowledge of RNC/NodeB Scripting, XML Scripting for OSS & Router Scripts for Cisco/Juniper OAM routers
Strong desire to excel with network design/performance improvement, through detailed technical investigation and analysis
Ability to work independently, evaluate customer requirements and provide solutions
Understanding of Telecommunications and Data Networking theory (Traffic Theory, OSI Model, etc)
Working knowledge of Project management processes and functions Knowledge of Perl, VB, C++, SQL
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Excellent presentation skills Customer focused and results oriented
