Telecom Vacancy: Transmission System OSS Test Engineer :: Europe

Location: Europe 
Start Date: SAP 
End Date: 3-6 months (extendable) 


Responsibilities: 
• Lab testing of Transmission OSS SW releases, change deliveries and features 
• Production of test documentation 
• FOA of new releases 
• Provide 3rd line technical support to the OSS operations team 
• Project technical lead 
• Element FM-PM studies and rule design


Requirements: 
• Minimum 4 years experience working for a Transmission equipment vendor in OSS testing and support 
• Strong background in Transmission OSS system/feature testing, verification and support 
• Specialist level hands-on knowledge of at least one of the following systems, Huawei U2000 for IP backhaul, Ericsson Service on Microwave, SIAE 5UX 
• Expert level understanding and hands-on experience with: 
• Oracle Database RDBMS Administration (8i, 9i, 10g) 
• Sybase Database RDBMS Administration 
• HP-UX & Solaris Administration 
• HP MC/Service Guard 
• HP Blade Hardware 
• Red Hat & Suse Linux 
• PL/SQL Scripting 
• Perl Scripting 
• Shell Scripting 
• DNS, Bind and Namesurfer 
• Corba, SNMP, XML, X.25, Q3, CLNS, ISO IP, TCP/IP 
• Cisco Routing and Switching
