•Interact with the customer to define and provide technical, competence development solutions that enhance the customer’s competitive position
•Plan, design and deliver solutions that improve the customers’ applications in terms of capacity, functionality, end-user services and ability to improve and grow a customer’s business
•Provide technical Leadership on IT projects, throughout the project life cycle
•Design IT solutions to meet client requirements and ensure these are successfully implemented
•Provide consultancy on the future direction of Business (BSS), Enterprise (ESS) and mobile data solutions to existing and future customers if Managed Service Delivery
•Ensure that the integrity of the overall architecture is maintained through appropriate solution designs
•Recommend architecture and best-fit design strategies in order to maximise revenue and minimise cost for a client
•Work collaboratively with Customers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Development teams, Testing & Operational functions to ensure that proposed solutions are technically viable, and appropriately costed
•Review the Business Requirements Specifications and use cases
•Design end-to-end IT solutions for projects, integrating multiple
•Provide technical leadership on projects, managing subject matter experts and application designers to ensure the coherency of end-to-end designs
•Ensure that technical dependencies are identified and managed throughout the project lifecycleRequirements:
•10-15 years experience of performing a solution design or enterprise architect's role in a Mobile Telco organization
•15 years + experience of working on BSS and ESS implementations
•10-15 years experience of technically leading complex projects throughout the complete IT lifecycle (Analysis, Architecture, Design, Build, Test & Production)
•Knowledge of one or more design methodologies
•Knowledge and experience of implementing Service Orientated Architecture
•Enterprise Application Integration solutions, COTS based applications and bespoke application delivery
•7 + Years experience of working within a large scale Telecom/IT environment, ideally an operator/supplier of GSM and UMTS or other wide area mobile equipment or ISP
•Good understanding of Mobile networks: basics of UMTS, CDMA, GPRS and TDM telephony networks
•Good understanding of ATM & IP Layer
•5+ Years experience of working on NPDS architectures
•Scope the roles of domains and the systems within the domains
•Experience of technically leading complex projects throughout the complete IT Development Life-cycle
•Software integration testing, load & stress testing, performance optimisation, environment integration testing
•Software configuration management, release management
•Solving development process problems
•Very strong verbal and written skills providing effective communication and able to build strong professional relationships with both business and technical colleagues
•Ability to work in a team and individual environment
•Ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams
•Excellent time management and organizational skills
•Self-motivated
•Innovative, flexible and dynamic, with a strong business and customer focused approach
