Job vacancy for Programme Manager :: Middle East

One must be responsible for managing a suite of projects within a telecommunications customer.
Perm or Long Term Contract.


Looking for a programme manager to work in the Middle East.
The programme manager will be responsible for managing a suite of projects within a telecommunications customer. The project teams performing the work will be located on-site as well as remotely and may be comprised of our clients resources and those of other partners that will need to be managed.

The programme manager will be expected to:

- Manage the day to day activities of the overall projects

- Manage budgets, schedules and personnel working on the project including all subcontractors

- Coordinate with partners day to day regarding individual and joint activities

- Interact with client management and their staff on a routine basis in order to coordinate activities and provide project status

- Provide status reporting to customer and upper management on a defined interval basis

- Continually identify potential risks to the project and proactively identify risk mitigation plans

- Communicate across departments and stakeholders involved in the individual projects

To be considered for this position, the candidate should have:

- Strong project management background including PMI certification

- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and teams comprised of the customer and partner personnel

- Strong Interpersonal skills

- Telecommunications Network and Equipment familiarity would be an advantage

- Background in managing projects utilizing large amounts of data, creating data models and reconciling data as well as software implementations.

General

Fulfills program goals and objectives by managing large and complex solutions in key markets or customer segments, from concept through closeout. Develops innovative solutions and methods to accomplish these goals and objectives, and is responsible for driving them to successful results through subordinate management and professional staff. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers to build successful, long-term relationships. Provides direct and indirect leadership to develop, close, deliver, and support, successfully, large and complex engagements. Normally has full financial and human resource responsibility. Typically reports to a VP / GM or Officer. Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a BS; 8+ years of experience with an MS; 6+ years of experience with a PhD.

Arabic Speaking preferable but not essential.

Based in Middle East with Regional travel
