Experience as a Routing & Switching expert with a major carrier such as ATT, Verizon, Sprint or similar is a strong plus

o Relevant job experience within a Tier 3 or higher support organization

o Layer 2 and 3 protocols, VPN, R & S, MPLS, BGP, OSPF

o Experience with Cisco 7600, CRS-1, GSR 12000 (12K) and/or comparable offerings from Juniper or ALU

o Relevant job experience within the telecom department of a major financial institution or large corporation

o Must demonstrate a rock-solid command of IP Networking Fundamentals

Physical and/or Special Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to closely coordinate with clients and internal teams. Primary function is to act as a Routing & Switching and Layer 2 & 3 (OSI Model) subject matter expert. A great deal of customer interaction is expected.

Technical Skills Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF, GigE, and other R&S technologies

• Ability to analyze suggest improvements to both IP and legacy based networks

• In-depth knowledge of Network Design to include complex routing and switching

• Expertise with Cisco, ALU, Juniper and/or other routing/switching platforms

• Expertise with networking operating systems (Cisco IOS and XR, Juniper and ALU equivalents) software, features and functionality
