Telecom Vacancy: Core Network Customer Care Solution Architect

Location: Middle East 
Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: 12 months (extendable)



Responsibilities: 
• Demonstrates thorough understanding of the GSM/3G-CS&PS network and interfaces with the respective HLR, VLR, MSC, EIR, AUC, SGSN, GGSN, DNS, WAP and MMS functions to carry different Roaming and Customer Complaints troubleshooting 
• Co-ordinates with International Operations on scheduling and defining international roaming data; assists in the International Roaming stage 3 testing in order to ensure service launching for the respective destinations 
• Able to carry traces on both CS & PS using different tracing tools like K12-15, Ethereal, Nettest or any other protocol analysing systems. Full understanding of different GSM/2/2.5/3G protocols like MAP, CAP & SCCP and interfaces like Gr, Gi, Ga etc 
• Handles acceptance tests for GSM switching equipment and systems as against Mobily specifications and manufacturers' recommendations 
• Carries changeover activities and migration of subscriber database 
• Handles massive subscribers' database listing, modifications and introducing of new services and parameters 
• Maintains effective day-to-day liaison with other Divisions, Regions and external parties including Suppliers, Contractors and Customers as required on all aspects of assignments undertaken 
• Provides supervision to subordinates evaluates their performance and carries out necessary counselling to ensure acceptable level of work productivity 
• Identifies training needs of subordinates in co-ordination with Training & Development Division for enhancement of skills and attitudes 
• Ensures confidentiality and propriety of the assignments in order to safeguard their strategic importance to Mobily 
• Performs any other related duties as required 
• Seeks and gives information and feedback 
• Prepares routine and special/technical reports 
• Monitoring and follows up with external agencies 
• Resolves conflicts 
• Problem solving is an essential requirement 



Requirements: 
• Graduate Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom Engineering 
• Qualification in Computer Aided Design/Computer Sciences will be beneficial 
• Specialised Training in GSM Applications & knowledge of MSC/VLR 
• 5 years in telecom switching maintenance 
• At least three years in GSM Switching maintenance in lead technologies employed by Mobily
• Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Acceptance Testing of Mobile Switching equipment and systems 
• Operation Handling 
• Analytical Skills and Technical evaluation/assessment 
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills 
• Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory)
