We have a newly created opening for a Sr. Baseband Design Engineer who will be responsible for a senior engineering role in product or technology program in SW/HW/System Design/Design Verification or Integration. They will be responsible for specifications, planning, reporting, designing & reviewing products. Must be a very strong leader. They will be a strong contributor to project milestones by solving/avoiding most complex problems, through understanding dependencies across product / system boundaries. Coaches other team members in solving advanced engineering problems at system component level.
- BSEE or MS in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of FPGAs, ASICs, microcontrollers, and high-speed interfaces is preferred
- Thorough understanding of digital and analog electronics design principles
- ICX toolset experience is a preferred, high-speed design knowledge is a plus
- Understanding of testing principles, techniques, and test equipment for complex digital subsystems is required
- C programming experience is a plus, especially in applications of custom solutions to facilitate HW testing
- Mentor Graphics experience is also a plus, although not a requirement
- Experience and understanding of product development lifecycle is needed for success in this position. Candidate must be able and willing to participate in all aspects of the process including specifying, planning reviewing, reporting, and adjusting to challenges.
Personal Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Technical leadership potential is a plus
Should be a good planner and organizer
Adept Problem Solver
Some International travel will be required.
