Looking for experienced Engineers with the following requirements:
Start Date: August 2011 / Immediate
Duration: Long Term
Location: Plano, TX (other locations possible)
Scope of Work:
Job Responsibilities:
TCP /IP: Collect IP traces and analyze them. Previous experience from working with routers/switches is a plus. Configure OSPF networks.
SS7: Collect SS7 traces and analyze them. Previous experience with SS7 networking equipment like STP, patch panels is a plus. Understand the concept of Point Codes and Global Title Translation.
Troubleshooting: Have a good understanding of trouble shooting techniques to arrive at a diagnosis with minimum effort.
Test Methodology: Have a good understanding of a test cycle - gathering requirements, designing test case suite, test execution and so on.
Protocol Layer Testing: Perform testing involving protocol layers in any wireless/wireline technology.
Requirements/Skills
• The candidate must possess basic Telecommunication knowledge such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE.
• Previous knowledge about TSP Platform is a plus
• Basic understanding of Telecom Operator environments, understand the Revenue Chain from switch to billing.
• Understanding of Charging and Prepaid systems is a plus.
• Basic knowledge regarding routing protocols such as BGF and OSPF would also help in getting accustomed to tasks.
• Knowledge of OSI model.
• Knowledge of SS7 signaling would be exceptional.
• The ideal candidate must be willing to work on various technologies with help and assistance provided by peers.
• Strong problem solving skills and analytical ability.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver with high quality.
• Ability to learn fast and work in a team environment is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills in order to be able to participate in customer meetings.
