Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone official launch expected on 9th December

We have been hearing a lot of rumors for the past few months that Sony Ericsson is working on a PlayStation phone and will be announcing it soon. Now it seems that the time for official announcement has finally arrived. French tech blog nowherelse.fr has received an invitation card for Sony Ericsson event which is to be held in Paris on 9th December this year. As you can see in the photo (below) the invitation card features same logos of PlayStation controller along with a noticeable icon of a mobile phone. This is the clear sign from Sony Ericsson that they will be launching the PlayStation phone next month if the invitation card is for real.
Last time we saw spec sheet of PlayStation phone, it was said that it will be coming with Google’s upcoming Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. So is Google going to be announcing Android Gingerbread on 9th December too? Well there is no confirmation from both Google and Sony Ericsson over it, so will have to wait until the event day.
However if this device turns out to be real then it is going to revolutionize the entire mobile gaming and we hope that PlayStation phone gets official announcement as there are lots of people waiting to get their hands on it.
Anyhow we’ll keep a close watch for it, if anything comes up but before going check out its full specifications over here and let us know whether you are going to fall for it or not.
