To oversee the Product Development unit in marketing department through translating the concept papers to technical specifications. The unit is the interface for Products & Services, Promotions & Loyalty, Enterprise Solutions and Wholesale & Roaming with technology department.

The Product Development Manager will work directly with different technical sections and will support the Engagement Practices and other Competence Domains to define and provide technical solutions that enhance the companies competitive position. The Product Development Manager plans, designs and delivers solutions that improve the companies time to market process in terms of products capacity, functionality, end user services, and competence build up.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the marketing units’ requirements through Concept Papers and base upon it design appropriate technical solution.
• Assess solutions for their commercial merits and appropriately recommend back to marketing units
• Communicate appropriate design after getting final approval from other marketing units on the suggested design.
• Hold meetings with technical department different sections (Technical/IT) to discuss and agree on technical feasibility and implementation.
• Overall sound planning, designing and business delivery of Concept Paper components from principal tie-ups that form a part of the solution to marketing units.
• Ensure that recommended architecture is in line with industries best practices and current technology.
• Participate in business case and design sessions, review options and provide recommendations while communicating benefits, risks, and constraints to the marketing units, the various business units and its stakeholders.
• Ensuring implementation of appropriate strategies to drive high quality and sustainable solutions
• Provide advice and guidance on estimated cost for implementing the solution.
• Ensure that the design solutions are aligned to business requirements.
• Ensure that the designs and subsequent systems are aligned to the commercial objectives.
• Keep abreast of new technology, methods and techniques to understand how they might be applied to the business environment.
• Drive changes in the methods, processes and guidelines within the organization or internally in marketing department. Also acts as a leader/mentor in day to day operations to provide insights for less experienced colleagues.
• Manage teams of less experienced product managers to ensure that they are delivered according to expectations and plans.
• Follow up the delivered products and solutions on an agreed regular basis with related business unit to keep informed about the life cycle evolvement of the implemented customer solution.
• Take responsibility and accountability of assigned delivery work and ensure is delivered on time and within budget with quality.
• Learn new technologies quickly in order to offer the best solutions possible.
• Work pro actively with Project Management functions to derive the most efficient cost base and project plan.

Experience:

• 10 - 15 Years of experience in mobile operators technical/IT systems
• Excellent in depth understanding of Radio Access Networks solutions.

Competence on the following:

• Radio Network Optimization services for GSM, EDGE and WCDMA, LTE is an advantage.
• Radio Network Design for GSM and WCDMA.
• MSC/HLR  
• IN solutions
• VAS and Data solutions: SMS, MMS, WAP, RBT, ADM, ..etc.
• Mobile Internet (GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, UMTS)

The position is an immediate start and initially a one year extendable contract.  You will be provided with return flights, accommodation, transportation, visa, medical, bonus and a monthly salary between $9-$10000 NET.
