Telecom Job Vacancy: Senior OSS SA Architect || Europe

Location: Europe 
Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: 3-6 months (extendable)

Responsibilities:
• Participate in the definition and maintenance of the OSS architecture roadmap and identify the dependencies between the deliverables 
• Work with the Business to align future application strategy with the Engineering Business strategy and work with other OSS architects to ensure this strategy is part of the OSS architecture roadmap 
• Hands on experience of having worked on the full lifecycle of project delivery as a Tech lead from Requirements, Solution Design, LLD review, Development 
• Assist the Project Manager and Programme Manager to plan the scope of each release based on technical dependencies between the functionality/data of different systems 
• Provide expertise on IT Systems management & IP Network management 
• Act as reviewer and technical signatory, or provide support to other technical authorities assigned, on all key project design documentation and implementations 
• Solve end to end performance and stability problems 
• Look for improvements in process and procedures and submit such improvements for approval
• Perform architecture and design impact analysis and audit 
• Expertise in Fault, performance, service, inventory/configuration management of IT and IP networks

• 10 years + experience of working within a large scale Telecom/IT environment, ideally an operator/supplier of GSM and UMTS or other wide area mobile equipment or ISP 
• Understand architecture of mobile (preferably multimedia) applications, including terminal architecture, J2ME, HTTP, HTML and XML, application protocols including messaging and streaming, transport protocols, dynamically selected paths and servers (content switching), session fail over technologies, proxies, caches, transcoders, high-availability portals and content pipelines 
• Understand IT systems management technology 
• DSDM, Rational Unified Process, ICONIX or similar methodologies and the methods within the process i.e. Use Case Models, Class Diagrams, Sequence and Interaction Diagrams using UML 
• Design and assessment of operability, high availability, performance and scalability, security, maintainability 
• Good knowledge of Business needs, system requirements, system design, integration design, network design
