Telecom Job Vacancy: Front Office RAN Engineer || UK

Location: UK 
Start date: ASAP 
End date: 3-6 months (extendable)


Must be eligible to work in UK

Responsibilities:
• Monitor network’s availability and performance, ensuring all SLA’s and KPI’s are met 
• Take ownership of all availability and performance faults, ensuring they are managed through to resolution or escalating where required to achieve SLA’s are met 
• Identify potential availability and performance problems, highlighting improvements required to avoid them 
• Identify potential short falls in availability and performance monitoring and monitoring tools, escalating to requirements 
• Technical lead for availability and performance related problems 
• Ensure all availability and performance faults and degradations are captured in the trouble ticketing systems, providing regular and accurate updates 
• Follow all processes and procedures, identifying and escalations of any improvements required 
• Provide support to FOP’s, Optimisation and all Vendors and assistance to other keys areas of Operations/Business with regards to RAN related issues 
• Raise Root Cause Analysis (RCA) trouble tickets for all resolved faults where the root cause is not clear or unknown 
• Identify training and other requirements, with recommendations/requirements 
• Share information and knowledge with other team members to improve technical and operational effectiveness 
• Interface with and provide assistance to other areas in the Front Office RAN Team to ensure all SLA’s and KPI’s are met


Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of 2G/3G Radio Access Networks, 4 years 2G/3G experience 
• Experienced with fault finding process and management platforms 
• Strong knowledge of availability and performance s issues and how they affect the customer 
• Experience on one of the following Vendor’s equipment; Ericsson/Nokia 3G and Ericsson AXE 2G 
• Working knowledge of 2G/3G Core networks, services and applications 
• UNIX Scripting 
• Demonstrate ability to prioritise tasks and deliver under pressure 
• Strong fault finding and problem solving skills 
• Continually strive to improve the processes, procedures and working environment 
• Flexible and willing to take on new tasks and challenges 
• Minimum HND or equivalent recognised Telecommunications Qualifications 
• Relevant Vendor telecom qualifications
