Telecom Job Vacancy: 3G RAN Performance Engineer :: Middle East

Location: Middle East 
Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: 6 months (extendable)


Responsibilities:
• Day to day analysis on 3G RAN network performance by analyzing statistics 
• Ensure a healthy 3G RAN network performance by regular audits and sanity checks, using statistics from the radio network 
• Analyzing Reports for performance anomalies/exceptions 
• Investigating and escalating performance issues to concern department 
• Producing 3G Radio Network Performance Ad hoc or Special Reports 
• Provide recommendation for radio network expansion and corrective maintenance 
• Provide recommendations for 3G RAN performance improvement 
• Ability to work in multi-vendor environment


Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of WCDMA technologies, and its interfaces (Iub, IuPS, IuCS eg) 
• Good understanding of Standard RAN Counters, KPI and its formula 
• Understanding the definition of 3G RAN indicators and key performance indicators 
• Experienced with Performance tool for measurement collection, scheduling, analyzing and troubleshooting 
• Good understanding of 3G RAN data/measurement flow from NE to OSS 
• Familiar with Measurement Data Export interface 
• Knowledge of Ericsson 3G RAN OSS Performance Database and the structure 
• Knowledge of standard 3G RAN parameter (WCELL, Adjacencies, Power Control etc) 
• Knowledge of HSDPA, HSUPA and ATM 
• Experienced with Performance Management Tools (e.g. Metrica , ENIQ) 
• Able to use basic MML command for checking and monitoring RAN measurement 
• Able to developed UNIX shell script & SQL Store Proc for PM data extraction 
• Experience of MS SQL and MS Application 
• Experience of working with large databases such as Oracle, MS Sql 
• Good understanding about business object (query designer) 
• Provide recommendation for radio network expansion and corrective maintenance 
• Using statistics to forecast the future growth of Network 
• Using statistics to identify the congested parts of the radio network 
• Degree of Telecommunication / Computer Engineering 
• 5 years of experience in Network Performance Quality 
• Having minimum 2 years experience in 3G UMTS technology 
• Extensive experience in relevant field
