The Electron Device & Subs Business Unit engineering team provides engineering resources to support major product development projects, from design leadership through to engineering build. In addition the team provides 'design authority for existing product portfolio, both in new and old applications and throughout the product lifecycle.
This role will be responsible for defining the RF/Microwave architecture of amplifier systems including Satcom, microwave power modules. In this role the incumbent will be a technical interface between internal functions & external customers, product, project & marketing managers on a range of activities from identification and resolution of applications issues products, specification analysis, product selection and special testing of devices to exploit new market opportunities. They will work closely with product/programme managers to determine demand and prioritise accordingly.
Key skills/experience:
Excellent knowledge of microwave principles,
Use of electrical, thermal, RF/microwave test and measurement equipment,
Digital communications (QPSK, QAM, CDMA etc)
Commissioning of test equipments, EMC/EMI testing, environmental testing
Preparation of product compliance documentation Test Planning
Qualifications: Degree/HND in electronics or physics or related discipline
