Brief Description This role is for a Technical Architect to work within the Service Fulfillment BU. The role will involve close work with all the team members of the SFBU and with the development teams that implement the software designs. Responsibilities: o Research in to current and future networking trends across a number of packet technology types, notably IPv4, IPv6, Ethernet and MPLS. This will include monitoring standards bodies.
o Analysis of how those trends will impact Amdocs solutions through the creation of technical papers on research areas
o Education of the product management organization on each new research area, plus existing technologies as required.
o Network technology authority for new products and extensions to existing products, providing support on guidance on how vendor agnostic models can be achieved and where variations must be provided.
o Expertise in vendor implementations and equipment. This will extend to both networking architectures and the operation interfaces of the equipment too. Requirements:
Must haves: o Strong packet networking background ideally from an operator or network equipment vendor in at least one of IP, MPLS, Ethernet. At least 5 years.
o Strong experience in a technical design leadership role involving the generation of technical documentation for technical teams.
o Strong communication skills
o Able to work independently
o Able to translate requirements in to concrete designs
Nice to have:
o Experience in a software development environment and the software development lifecycle
o Experience of an OSS environment, preferably service modeling (SID), fulfilment and activation flows or discovery
o Experience working with distributed teams
