Nokia close down Vertu handset business in Japan

The Nikkei reports that the Finnish company will close down its Vertu handset stores within Tokyo’s Shibuya and Ginza districts by the end of July. Vertu services are said to continue to operate until the end of August.
"Vertu has made the decision to prioritize certain areas of its business and as a result plans to discontinue its current operations in Japan," spokesman Doug Dawson told Bloomberg News. The closure only applies to Vertu. Nokia Siemens Networks will continue to operate normally in Japan.
