Objective of the Job: As a WCDMA Radio Network Consultant in the ECM department in Malaysia, you will work with design and optimization of both new and existing networks. The role will initially focus, but not limited to, on 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) and 3G (WCDMA/HSPA) Network Performance Improvement Services and do require minor traveling within Malaysia (East and West). The location of work will be based on the project basis and customer requirement, it could be in Ericsson office in Cyberjaya or customer premises.

Responsibilities: The main responsibility is to ensure that all solution deliveries to customers are made in a professional manner, achieving customer satisfaction and securing profitability for Ericsson. In addition to service delivery, the consultant shall assist in developing new services mostly within WCDMA Radio area. The Solution Consultant shall also seek to identify sales opportunities and generate new business while working on assignments.

Tasks could include, but not be limited to:

·         Acquisition of network data and information

·         Perform Network Planning and Design

·         Perform Initial Tuning Perform Network Optimization, including investigating network performance and issuing, discussing and/or implementing recommendations for network improvement

· Perform Network and/or Node parameters reviews/audits

· Identify new business opportunities

· Choose the most appropriate and efficient tools for the project

· Give technical support to sales, marketing, project managers and the customer, including pre-sales activities

· Establish specifications for Network & Technologies Consulting new services

· Give presentations and participate in technical discussions with customers

· Analyze the customers' existing systems, needs, and requirements

· Participate in customer projects, handling scope, risks, changes and customer expectations

Qualifications

Technical university degree, (Telecommunication, M.Sc or B.sc)

Very good spoken and written in English (additional languages seen as a merit)

Competence Requirements:

· At least three years experience with GSM/WCDMA systems

· Good knowledge of WCDMA/HSPA Radio network features

· Good knowledge about GSM/WCDMA System architecture and nodes (GSM: BTS, BSC, WCDMA:RBS, RNC)

· Good knowledge about WCDMA/HSPA Radio Network Design, Tuning and Performance Improvement techniques

· Good knowledge about Network Performance metrics based on both Field and System measurements.
