Responsibilities:
Job-holder has to create and build traction in this newly-defined role, combining functional expertise in Marketing Communications with effective influencing and people management capabilities.
MSIA Manager APAC is an integral member of the global MSIA organization and takes the lead in defining regional needs, opportunities and plans, working in close co-operation with both global functional teams and local sales & marketing leadership.
Contribute to the global communication and media relations strategy and write,implement and monitor the long term overall business communication plan for the APAC region
Provide guidance to internal Business Intelligence Officer. 
Build & steer network of external consultants/specialists for market research/competitor research 
Direct the regional M&S teams to gather intelligence 
Bundle information, distill intelligence and share with local teams & global BI Intellectual Asset Management 
Provide guidance to internal trademark paralegal & external agency on trademark protection issues. 
Act as official spokesman for company in the region. 
Requirements: 
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, Economics or Engineering 
8 years experience as Communications Manager in APAC markets. Able to travel 50% of the time. 
Experience of marketing high value products in a complex multi-national company environment 
Fluent English & Chinese, other languages an asset 
Independence & self motivation-capable of working effectively in a very hectic environment 
Excellent networking and communication skills 
Self-propelling attitude
