Telecom Vacancy: Team Leader COE OSS EMS Data Transmission || Europe

MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN EUROPE


Location: Europe 
Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: Permanent 



Responsibilities: 
• Lead, evaluate and develop a team of 12 OSS professionals locally and in the delivery centre 
• Address all aspects of line management including resource planning maintaining the right staffing levels, recruiting and motivating the team members 
• Manage the relationship with the customers and participate in negotiations 
• Supplier Management with regard to product roadmap, synchronized introduction of new releases and quality assurance 
• Co-ordinate OSS EMS activities with internal customers as technology 'Centres of Excellence (CoE)' and local units 
• Ensure that OSS Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met or exceeded 
• Ensure that all development and life cycle management of OSS EMS applications are planned and realized 
• Ensure the operation of the OSS EMS applications and identifies operational internal control weakness and recommends new procedures 
• Maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management, performance and development 
• Ensure that costs are within the allocated budget and review, monitor, and analyze the reasonableness of budgetary requests 



Requirements: 
• University degree or equivalent in IT or Telecommunications 
• Minimum 5+ years professional experience in the Telecommunications and OSS domain 
• 2 years experience in operations and leading an operation related team with strong team building abilities 
• Experience in managing customer and OSS supplier relationship 
• Excellent knowledge of OSS Operations, Life Cycle Management of OSS, Automation, ITIL, ETOM, supplier management 
• Highly customer focused professional able to provide a level of customer service above/beyond that provided by other vendors 
• Strong understanding of OSS architecture in element management systems for IT and transmission 
• Detailed knowledge of Ciena (Nortel) Preside ONM AP incl. Element Controllers and Huawei N2000/U2000 
• Wide experience with EMS Data/Transmission systems from Ericsson, NSN, Cisco, HP, Juniper and Tellabs is an advantage 
• Advanced experience in project management 
• Pro-active roll in system and problem solving, taking ownership 
• Strong communication, analytical, technical, interpersonal, and excellent English communications skills 
• Team player in an international team 
German language skills an advantage
