Telecom Vacancy: TX Utran Engineer || Central America

Location: Central America 
Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: 3 months (extendable) 


Responsibilities: 
• To assist/support Optimization team 
• Data fill (RNC and Node B) – input all relevant RF and Rn parameters for RNC 3810 and 3820 and Node B 3000 and 6000 (with input from Optimization team) 
• Features Activation for UNTS features (RNC, Node B) 
• Good knowledge in P7/W10 
• Knowledge with lu ATM and IP RAN configuration 
• Knowledge with lub over ATM and lub over IP 
• Knowledge with HSDPA and HSUPA 
• Knowledge implementing and troubleshooting (basic) with 2nd, 3rd and 4th carrier 
• Run Common Explorer in order to do parameter sanity checks for Node B and RNC Input all RNC and Node B parameter changes requested by the Optimization team 
• Alarm identification/solution for Node B/RNC, identify root cause (Basic). 
• To activate and manage RNO tools (e.g. WNCS, MRR) 
• To work in the activation of GPEH, UETR, CTR 
• Knowledge transfer to local engineers 
• Other basic role as requested by the technical manager 


Requirements: 
• Good experience in UTRAN and on UMTS OSS 
• Good knowledge in P7/W10 
• Basic understanding of the RF interface and environment 
• Understanding of 3GPP UTRAN protocols such as RRC, NBAP, RNSAP, RANAP, etc 
• Experience with RAN fault finding and fault assessment 
• Basic Core Network knowledge to identify problems outside the RAN (desirable) 
• Experience in carrying out Network Audits 
• Good understanding of System RNC and RBS configurations and system integration 
• Good understanding and working experience with UTRAN software upgrades and troubleshooting upgrade faults (desirable) 
• Knowledge and experience using EMAS and MO Shell script
