Telecom Vacancy: 3G RF Engineer :: Africa

Location: Sub Saharan Africa

End Date: 3 months (extendable) 


Job Description: 
• In depth knowledge of Flexi radio and Flexi MR 
• 3G Radio network optimisation experience 
• Customer workshops 
• Interface with customer 
• Responsible for optimization and knowledge transfer to the existing team members 
• In-depth knowledge of 3G Radio planning principles, methodologies and practices 
• Calculation of 3G RF link budget, nominal RF plan and final Radio design to tender or project specifications (SoW) by means of relevant radio planning tools 
• Design of radio system propagation and capacity plan according to client requirements, equipment and ITU specifications 
• Calculation of radio frequency and Interference plan 
• Execution of site surveys to collect accurate site information 
• Calculation of quantities of types of equipment to dimension BOM's correctly by incorporating the site survey information and design outputs 
• Analyse network, planning and dimensioning of plan for 3G Radio networks
