We are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Field Technical Support Engineer for an opportunity located in Gumi, South Korea. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides onsite technical support, troubleshooting of products.
Conducts minor product repairs
Provides pre sales support. POSITION SUMMARY: Independently provides field technical knowledge in support of pre and post sales efforts to customers of Andrew Corporation. Provides local contact to customers for any technical issues. Responsibilities include (1) troubleshooting Andrew products (2) any minor repairs (3) accompanying sales team to present technical solutions to the customers. CUSTOMER RELATIONS - Begins to build contacts with customers by being regularly available and responsive to their business needs. PROBLEM SOLVING COMPLEXITY - Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
WORK PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT - Operates under general supervision only. Performs tasks and procedures under self-direction.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Computers and Radio Frequency Test Equipment
QUALIFICATIONS: •Excellent working knowledge of RF fundamentals
•Engineering degree and minimum five (5) years of progressive technical product experience
•Ability to function in a customer environment.
•Experience with RF products such as Power Amplifiers, Filters, Remote Radio Heads
•Able to function independently and exercise judgment in order to react to situations in a timely manner
•Requires prioritization and timely completion of a wide variety of tasks and projects
•Effective interface with sales, customers, product management and other support groups on a regular basis
•A high degree of integrity
