Telecom Job Vacancies for SOLUTION ARCHITECT (TELECOM) – BSS / OSS

Job Location : Doha, Qatar

Role purpose:
The Solution Architect is involved in the entire Concept to Market process to deliver outcomes to the business, in the beginning working with the business to understand real needs, as opposed to wants, and then throughout the process (idea, concept & feasibility) to translate those needs into capabilities verified to meet the needs. Additionally, the Solution architect may present different models to the business that communicates how those needs may be met in the most efficient way.
The Solution Architect works closely with the Enterprise Architect to deliver the solution approach specific to the BSS/ OSS for the fixed implementation.
The Solution Architect understands and interprets requirements and probes for information, listen to information, influence people, facilitate consensus building, synthesize and translate ideas into actionable requirements, articulate and those ideas to other business units within the company.
The Solution Architect Identifies constraints, risks and verifies assumptions, brings in subject matter experts as required in order to improve the solution model and to further define it, adding as necessary new ideas to make the result more flexible and more tightly linked to current and expected requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate with a minimum 5 years of practical experience of implementing/designing BSS solutions in an Operating Company, including Sales & Customer Management, Order Management & Fulfilment, Rating & Billing, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Resource Planning and operational support tools
- Subject matter expert for at least 2 years in the Fixed relevant areas.
- A high level understanding of how a mobile network works including GSM, GPRS and UMTS
- A high level understanding of fixed/ mobile convergence (FMC), IPTV, IP voice and IMS Services.
- 4-6 years within a technical environment performing technical design and system analysis roles across technical domains.
- 2-3 years as an Architect/Technical Consultant.
- Demonstrable experience of creating solution business cases
- Application/Data architectural Design and Development.
- Understanding of existing and emerging technologies
