Telecom Job Vacancy: RAN SOG Engineer || UK

Location: Reading/Manchester
Start date: ASAP
End date: 6 months 


Must be EU national or UK permit holder to be eligible 


Responsibilities:
•Carry out all RANSOG activities to allow Network Growth to occur
•Integration and testing of new network elements
•Operate at all times in a Health & Safety conscious manner
•Complete documentation, in both paper and electronic format, accurately and in good time
•Under supervision provide support and assistance to small works contractors on site
•Suggest improvements to working practices
•Ensure work is carried out to acceptable levels of quality


Requirements:
•2 years experience in a Mobile Switch environment
•Understanding of 3G Nokia Switching Platforms and command structure
•Proficient in the use of HIT & TANG
•Proficient in the loading of MSC data via the HIT tool
•HNC or equivalent in relevant telecommunications discipline or corresponding experience
•ATM to Direct Ethernet migration
•Familiar with SAP, TTMS, Circuit Manager, Nemesis
•Full, clean UK driving licence
•Anticipating peaks and troughs in own workload; scheduling work accordingly
•Prioritising demands and organising to make efficient use of resources
•Keeping track of own time and workload being punctual and organised
•Gathering relevant information from a range of sources, questioning and evaluating its accuracy
