Description: Engineer to perform software updates and upgrades on customers UMTS networks. Perform SW record comparison, health checks and alarm clearing before and after updates. Follow processes in place and complete assignments accordingly while minimizing customers impacts.
Minimum Requirements: Four (4) plus years of relevant telecom experience with telecom software. The ideal candidate will have UMTS product experience, Candidate should have very good knowledge/experience with:
- UMTS products (RNC, RBS, MGw) upgrade/update handling- radio products (BSC, RBS, RNC, etc.)
- Live nodes/Emergency handling
- Scripted packages using OSS
- OSS OPS and SMO script handling tools
- AXE software update, RP SW and APG loading
Possesses very good communication skills, able to communicate clearly and coordinate activities with team members, PMs and customers.
Software deployment activities are performed locally Sunday night to Thursday night
