Job for System Support Engineer (UNIX, Sql & UTRAN/UMTS/LTE) || Plano, TX (USA)

Position Name: System Support Engineer 
Start Date: Jan 2011 
Location: Plano, TX 
Type: Contract / Possible CTH 
Skills Required: 
• Experience in a customer facing role 
• Experience doing network troubleshooting on UMTS/GSM, UTRAN and VoIP (working with LTE, UMTS, RAN, UTRAN) 
• Deploy patches, software updates and software upgrades 
• Daily management of the tools, configuration of the network according to the LTE upgrades, installations and network builds (change management involved) 
• Understanding of call flow, protocols, call set up, call messages, messages between nodes, network topology etc. 
• Oracle - experience doing SQL queries, basic, syntax, troubleshooting. 
• Must have a strong UNIX experience. Must be comfortable working in a UNIX environment - editing scripts and FTPing files etc. 
• Scripting – Shell is a plus 
• Veritas experience is a plus 
• Must have a bachelors degree in related field 
• Former developers with Oracle have been successful.
