Position Name: RAN Engineer
Start Date: Jan 2011
Duration: Long Term
Location: Bellevue, WA / Parsippany, NJ
Type: Contract / Possible CTH
Scope of Work:
• Detailed understanding of RAN and Core signaling (Iu CS, PS, r, Iub, Uu, Abis, A, Gb, Gr, Gn, Gi, A-link, ISUP, MAP, GTP, IuPC, Lb, Lg)
• Solid RAN troubleshooting
• Solid RF Optimization
• Understanding of physical monitoring test points in a operators switch environment
• Detailed understanding of IP routing (V4 and V6) and transport protocols such as TCP, SCTP, UDP.
• Experience of working with protocol based analyzer tools, in particular Optimon/K18 and GeoProbe. Other suitable tools: Astellia, JDSU (Agilent) DNA, Commprove, EXFO, etc
• Understanding or RRC, RANAP, CC, RR, MM, RNSAP, NBAP, ALCAP, SSCOP, GSMAP, NAS procedures
• Windows Server OS/Server troubleshooting experience is required
• Excellent communications and presentation skills. Experience of working in high pressure, critical projects
• Experience in leading technical teams and driving projects to conclusion within the allocated timeframe
