Responsibilities:
• Carryout reactive and proactive maintenance on multi-customer, multi technology networks, achieving agreed performance targets
• Carryout project based on site installation, commissioning and integration activities across multi-customer, multi technology networks achieving agreed performance targets
• Work individually, as part of the FSO and wider teams to achieve right first time resolution of work within customer SLA’s without compromising safe working practices
• Carry out the field related installation, commissioning and integration activities associated with agreed FSO project work
• Assist in the development and review of FSO processes and procedures with a view to maximise efficiency
• Keep diligent records and accurately update both internal FSO and Customer systems where necessary
• Undertake personal development in order to maximize effectiveness
Requirements:
• Flexibility in approach to working hours will be required due to both spikes in workload and operational requirement to support reactive and planned work requests out of core shift hours
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the Ericsson, Nortel and Nokia RBS 2G/3G/RNC product
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the P-Com, Nokia, Nortel, NEC, DMC, Siae, Ericsson Microwave product families
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the Ericsson AXE product families
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on 2G BSC and Transcoder product families (MBNL and Vf)
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the Nortel 2G BSC and Transcoder product families (MBNL)
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the Nokia 2G BSC and Transcoder product families
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the Switch and Field DC power systems: ETL K86/K3, EMERSON-FEN1X, EMERSON-ROBUST ACTURA, Invensys (predominantly maintenance activity)
• Experience of installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance activity on the Core transport systems ie DWDM, Daccs, Passport platforms, IP and ATM router products
• Experience of working at heights and tower rescue
• HND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
