Job Description: You will work in a highly motivated team working together with our customers in the Nordic region providing them with communication network solutions and services adapted to their current and future needs. In your role you will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of these solutions. You will also play an important part in the sales- and bidding process where you provide technical sales support. In this position you will interface with our customers, project managers, global support centre, R&D and sales teams.
As a Transmission Network Engineer, You will have the following responsibilities:
- Be responsible for commissioning and maintenance of Transmission network Networks, SDH & WDM & microwave and other network equipment
- Provide technical support to customers through remote and on-site trouble-shooting.
- Provide prompt and timely investigations and resolution for the problems in Transmission Network products and other network equipment
- Provide complex technical activities such as software upgrades, technical audits and network expansion
- Provide technical solution and hands-on support on Transmission network system
- Support Pre-sales team on technical issues
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Good knowledge of transmission network (SDH, WDM, NGWDM, MW)
- Experience with network design, planning and implementation
- Understanding of following concepts: TCP/IP, MPLS, ATM, SDH, RADIUS and DNS
- Good trouble shooting skills and knowledge of trouble shooting tools
- Degree in Telecommunications, communication Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
- Fluent in Finnish and English
- Knowledge of communication protocols and standards used by network operators
- Willing to travel and work in a multicultural environment
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
